Coors Light Review (#3)
Hello blog readers –
Today we are going to mix it up a bit. The past two posts
have been on Indian Pale Ales, which are more darker beers. This review is
going to be on a much lighter beer, known as Coors Light. I have had Coors
Light on many occasions so I figured I might as well write a review for others
to hear me out.
Coors Light has a nice refreshing taste upon first sip that
last throughout the beer. One of the cool things about drinking Coors Light is
the mountains on the can. The mountains, which get their inspiration from the
Rocky Mountains in Colorado, are cold sensed. When the beer is cold, the mountains
are blue. When the beer is warm, the mountains return to their silver color. To
me, it is nice to know if my beer is still cold or not.
Alright, now let’s get into the nutrition part of this post.
Compared to the IPAs I have reviewed; Coors Light falls in the healthier zone. For
every twelve ounces, Coors Light has 102 calories, five grams of carbs, and
less than one gram of protein. They ABV (alcohol by volume) is 4.2 percent,
which is much less than the previous two beers I have reviewed. With fewer
carbs, Coors Light is not a “filling” beer when consuming. In my opinion, you
can drink multiple Coors Lights without getting that “bloated” feeling that
some beer gives you after one or two.
Now let’s look at the pricing for Coors Light. The wonderful
thing about Coors Light is that they offer a nine-pack option of sixteen-ounce
screw top cans. Darker beers and IPAs do not offer such packages. For a six
pack of Coors Light, you are looking at spending around $6.99, depending on
where you are buying it from. If you are wanting a twenty-four pack, it cost
around $17.99, once again depending on where you are buying it. The wonderful
nine-pack option I mentioned before comes in priced around $8.99. I have found
that the cheapest place to buy Coors Light is at my local Kroger. They have
cheaper prices than gas stations and liquor stores.
With Coors Light, it is easy to find comparable beers. In my
opinion, the two best comparable beers to Coors Light are Bud Light and Miller
Lite. Bud Light and Miller Lite are basically the same to Coors Light when
looking at the nutrition facts, and the ABV in all three is 4.2 percent.
Overall, Coors Light is a positive to try in my book. Next
time you go to a family or friend gathering, grab a twenty-four or thirty pack
and enjoy the taste. Just make sure to keep those mountains blue!
