Miller Lite Beer Review (#8)
Welcome back readers! If you can remember, the last beer I
reviewed was Yuengling Light. So, for this review, I am going to stick with
light beers and review Miller Lite. Although Miller Lite is not one of my top
choices, it is a very popular beer, which deserves a review. Miller Lite was
introduced in 1973 by the Miller Brewing Company. The beer is considered by
some to be the first largely sold light beer.
For starters, let’s look at some of the nutritional facts
for Miller Lite. Miller Lite is one of the healthier Lite beers on the market.
For every twelve ounces, Miller Lite contains 3.2 grams of carbs, 96 calories
and 4.2 percent alcohol. The alcohol percentage is about even with other light
beers, but the carb intake comes in slightly lower than some of the other preferred
beers.
Alright, now let’s look at some pricing points for Miller
Lite. Miller Lite is offered in your typical twelve packs and thirty packs.
Miller Lite can also be purchased in 16-ounce cans in nine packs or sixteen
packs. For your typical twelve pack, you are looking at a price of around
$9.99. If you are more the type of person who likes thirty packs, the cost will
be about $18.99. The 16-ounce cans or aluminum bottles will vary on price based
on store, but they are around $12.99 for a nine pack of Miller Lite. Like
usual, I have found that the cheapest places to buy Miller Lite are your
typical grocery stores like Kroger.
Now, let’s compare Miller Lite to a couple other light
beers. First, let’s compare it to Bud Light. Bud Light has the same alcohol
percentage per twelve ounces. However, the carbs and calories are slightly
higher than Miller Lite. Bud Light has 110 calories and 6.6 grams of carbs for
every twelve ounces. Bud Light is has about 3 grams more of carbs and about 14
more calories, so Miller Lite may be a better choice if you are a health
conscious consumer.
The next beer I will compare to Miller Lite is Coors Light. Coors
Light has the same ABV of 4.2 percent, but it has more calories and slightly
higher carbs. You get about 6 more calories and 2 more grams of carbs than
Miller Lite. Coors Light is a closer alternative to Miller Lite than Bud Light
is, but Miller Lite remains the healthier choice.
Overall, I am not a huge fan of the Miller Lite taste. To
me, it seems more bitter than other light beers, but you may like it. Next
shopping trip pick yourself up a twelve pack or a single beer and give it a
taste. That’s about it for this review, so I’ll see you all online for the next
review.
