Bud Light Review (#4)
Welcome back readers –
I decided to stick with a lighter beer for this review, as I
did with my last post. For this post, I will be giving my two cents on Bud
Light.
Bud Light is a soothing beer of choice. It is a common beer
choice for many. You can tell that you are drinking a light beer. I was able to
drink more than two without getting that “bloated” feeling that most beer
drinkers get. The refreshing taste continues throughout the consumption of the
beer, as long as you keep it cold.
Let’s look at the nutrition facts on Bud Light. For every
twelve ounces, you can expect 110 calories, 6.6 grams of carbs and 0.9 grams of
protein. Like most light beers, the ABV (alcohol by volume) comes in at 4.2
percent. The nutrition facts of Bud
Light stay similar to most light beers on the market.
Alright, now let’s look at some pricing for Bud Light. If you
prefer to buy in packs of six, Bud Light will cost you around $6.99 to $7.99,
depending on your place of purchase. If you prefer a thirty pack, you are
looking at spending around $21 to $22 dollars, depending on your place of
purchase. Bud Light is offered in other pack combinations, such as eighteen
packs and twenty-four packs, but I will let you find the prices for each if you
wish to purchase. As mentioned in my other post, I have found that the cheapest
place to purchase Bud Light, no matter the pack size, is my local Kroger.
In my last post, I compared Coors Light to Bud Light and
Miller Lite. So, for this post, I am going to compare Bud Light to a couple
other light beers to give you more or a preference. The first beer I am going
to compare with Bud Light is Heineken Light. Heineken Light comes in with much
less alcohol by volume at 3.3 percent per twelve ounces. Heineken Light has 99 calories,
which is 11 calories less than Bud Light.
The second beer I am going to compare with is Michelob
Ultra. Like Bud Light, Michelob Ultra has 4.2 percent ABV. The amount of carbs
is where the difference comes in. Per twelve ounces, Michelob Ultra has 2.6
grams of carbs, which is 4 grams less than Bud Light. With fewer carbs, Michelob
Ultra is a plus for those health-conscious beer consumers.
Overall, I give Bud Light a positive review, and that is not
just because it is a staple beer for most. I recommend giving it a try next
time you go shopping or need to restock your beer fridge!
