Yuengling Light Beer Review (#7)

Welcome back! The last review I did was on Yuengling Lager. For this review, I am going to focus on the lighter version of Yuengling, Yuengling Light Lager. Yuengling Light has a similar taste to Yuengling, but it has the “light” name. Yuengling light came out a little later than Yuengling in 1986. Alright, let’s look at the nutrition facts for Yuengling Light. It has a low-calorie mark at 99 calories per twelve ounces. The carb level is not too bad, coming in at 8.5 grams for every twelve ounces. The protein level is about 0.8 grams per twelve ounces. Yuengling Light has an ABV of 3.8%, which is a little less than most light beers. Let’s move over to the pricing of Yuengling Light. The pricing for Yuengling Light is the same as it is for Yuengling traditional. For a twelve pack, it will cost you around twelve to fourteen dollars. For you twenty-four pack purchasers, it will cost you about nineteen dollars to purchase. Just like Yuengling traditional, Yuengling Light is not s...

Yuengling Lager Beer Review (#6)

For my next review, I am going to look at a little darker of beers. This review will focus on Yuengling traditional amber lager. Yuengling, although hard to spell, is a refreshing beer to sit back and relax with. I enjoy the taste of Yuengling very much. Would you care for a fun fact about Yuengling? I hope so because I plan to tell you anyway. Yuengling happens to be America’s oldest brewery with a founding date of 1829. Let’s look at some nutrition facts for Yuengling. The calorie intake is a little high at 128 per twelve ounces. For a semi darker beer, the calories are not that high at 10 grams for every twelve ounces. The protein is 1 gram per every twelve ounces. I would say that Yuengling is one of the better nutritional darker beers if you do not like light beers. Yuengling is not too pricey to buy. A twelve pack will cost you around $12-14 dollars while a 24 pack while cost around $19 to purchase. Yuengling is one of those beers that is not sold in a 30 pack. The typi...

Michelob Ultra Review (#5)

Welcome back blog readers! The last review was on Bud Light, if you had forgotten. For this review, I am going to be looking at a very similar beer, with a more healthier aspect. This blog post is about reviewing Michelob Ultra. Michelob Ultra is a very soothing beer to taste. To some, Michelob Ultra is viewed as a feminine beer, but, to me, Ultra is a very good beer for all genders to enjoy. Ultra provides a very refreshing taste that some light beers lack. Michelob Ultra is labeled as “the superior light beer.” To start, let’s look at the nutrition facts of the Michelob Ultra. Ultra is one of the healthier light beers on the market. Michelob Ultra comes in with 95 calories and only 2.6 grams of carbs per twelve fluid ounces. When it comes to ABV, ultra keeps with other light beers at 4.2 percent per twelve fluid ounces. The protein is slim with Ultra with .6 grams per twelve ounces. The sodium level is 9 grams for every twelve ounces. Now, let’s look at the pricing for M...

Bud Light Review (#4)

Welcome back readers – I decided to stick with a lighter beer for this review, as I did with my last post. For this post, I will be giving my two cents on Bud Light. Bud Light is a soothing beer of choice. It is a common beer choice for many. You can tell that you are drinking a light beer. I was able to drink more than two without getting that “bloated” feeling that most beer drinkers get. The refreshing taste continues throughout the consumption of the beer, as long as you keep it cold. Let’s look at the nutrition facts on Bud Light. For every twelve ounces, you can expect 110 calories, 6.6 grams of carbs and 0.9 grams of protein. Like most light beers, the ABV (alcohol by volume) comes in at 4.2 percent.   The nutrition facts of Bud Light stay similar to most light beers on the market. Alright, now let’s look at some pricing for Bud Light. If you prefer to buy in packs of six, Bud Light will cost you around $6.99 to $7.99, depending on your place of purchase. I...

Coors Light Review (#3)

Hello blog readers – Today we are going to mix it up a bit. The past two posts have been on Indian Pale Ales, which are more darker beers. This review is going to be on a much lighter beer, known as Coors Light. I have had Coors Light on many occasions so I figured I might as well write a review for others to hear me out. Coors Light has a nice refreshing taste upon first sip that last throughout the beer. One of the cool things about drinking Coors Light is the mountains on the can. The mountains, which get their inspiration from the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, are cold sensed. When the beer is cold, the mountains are blue. When the beer is warm, the mountains return to their silver color. To me, it is nice to know if my beer is still cold or not. Alright, now let’s get into the nutrition part of this post. Compared to the IPAs I have reviewed; Coors Light falls in the healthier zone. For every twelve ounces, Coors Light has 102 calories, five grams of carbs, and less t...

Creature Comfort's Tropicalia Review (#2)

Welcome back blog readers! Today I am doing another beer review, but this time the beer is Creature Comforts Tropicalia. Creature Comforts brewery is located in Athens, Georgia, so it is not necessarily a local brew. The Tropicalia is an American IPA (Indian Pale Ale). It has a fruity and citrus-y hop aroma that really adds to the flavoring. Upon the first sip, I was able to immediately taste the fruit and citrus flavor, which was quite appealing. If you are a hoppy beer lover, this IPA should fit right into your portfolio. I know it sure fit into mine. It is also not a bitter beer, which sometimes comes with Indian Pale Ales, which was a plus. Alright, now let’s look at the health and nutrition side to the Tropicalia. For a twelve ounce can of Tropicalia, you would be ingesting 195 calories and 16 grams of carbs. It is a little high on the calorie side of things, but the 16 grams of carbs seem to fit in the typical Indian Pale Ale range. The ABV (alcohol by volume) for the T...

Sweet Water 420 Review (#1)

Hello All – Today I am writing my review about Sweet Water 420. The beer was quite soothing upon first sip, and It was not as “hoppy” as I was thinking it would be. It is definitely a more darker beer than most typical brews. Although I like the flavor, after the first couple of sips I began to get a hint of a bitter taste. I believe this bitter taste is expected when drinking an EPA (Extra Pale Ale) beverage. Alright, now on to my views on nutrition of Sweet Water 420. When looking at the nutrition label, 420 has 185 calories per 1 bottle serving, 15 grams of carbs per 1 bottle serving and 13 grams of sugar per 1 bottle serving. The abv (alcohol by volume) for 420 is 5.3 percent. The cost of purchasing Sweet Water 420 is on the more expensive side. A 6-pack cost between $8.99 – $12.99 depending on where you purchase. A 12-pack would cost you between $14.99 - $21.99 depending on where you buy. I have experienced the cheapest price to buy Sweet Water 420 is at Kroger. The ...
